Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

1. Requirements for Articles

1.1. Recommended length is 5,000 words. A larger length is in agreement with the editors.

1.2. The article should frame the problem, describe the methodology and methods (in case of an empirical study), the main findings and conclusions. Essays and polemical notes written in a free style may also be considered and published under the appropriate rubrics.

1.3. The author should use the Harvard system for bibliographic references, the sources should be placed in square brackets and include the author’s name, year of publication and page of the cited source.

1.4. A list of references (in the Roman alphabet and in accordance with the Scopus standard) should be placed in the end of the article.

1.5. Notes are given as subscripts.

1.6. First page of the article must contain the following information:

  • the title of the article;
  • information about the author/authors, including academic degree, occupation, organization, e-mail address of the corresponding author;
  • abstract (recommended length 250-300 words);
  • the key words (5 words or phrases);
  • digital identifiers of the author/authors (ORCID, RSCI, ScopusID, etc.).

1.7. Data for graphs and large tables must also be sent in .xls document. All tables, figures, graphs, schemes must be numbered and provided with captions.

1.8. For any borrowed graphics, permission from the copyright holder is necessary.

2. The submitted material must be original and not published anywhere else. In the case of using works or statements of other authors, it is necessary to provide appropriate bibliographic references or excerpts.

3. Submissions must be accurate and unbiased. The language should be clear to a wide audience.

4. Plagiarism in all forms is unacceptable. If unauthorized borrowings are detected, the editorial staff has the right to require the authors make the necessary changes to the article or refuse to publish the article.

5. Authors are required to disclose financial or other existing conflicts of interest (eg, employment, consulting, participation in grant projects, receipt of honoraria) that may be perceived as having an impact on the results or conclusions presented in the work.

6. Before submitting the article, all co-authors must approve the final version.

7. Submitting the same material to different venues at the same time is perceived as unethical behavior and is unacceptable.
